Welcome to True North. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your purchase and use of the True North budget planner and any related materials or content (together, the "Product") available at truenorthbudget.com (the "Site"). By purchasing or using the Product, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not purchase or use the Product.
True North is a digital budgeting template built for Google Sheets. Your purchase gives you access to a spreadsheet that you copy to your own Google account and use to organize your personal finances (income, expenses, savings, debt and net worth). It is a self-guided tool — not a service, subscription, app, or physical product.
When you purchase the Product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Product for your own personal, household financial planning. You may make copies for your own personal use across your own devices.
You may not:
All content in the Product — including its design, layout, formulas, structure, text, and the True North name and logo — is owned by True North and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. No ownership is transferred to you; you receive only the limited license described in Section 2.
The Product is delivered digitally and immediately after a successful payment. You will receive access on the confirmation page and by email, including a link to copy the planner to your own Google account.
Prices are shown at checkout and are processed securely by our third-party payment provider. The launch price is a limited-time promotional price and may change at any time without notice. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. We do not store your full card details.
We want you to feel confident in your purchase. If the Product isn't right for you, you may request a refund within 30 days of purchase by emailing [email protected]. We may ask for brief feedback so we can keep improving, but a refund is not conditional on it.
True North is an educational organizing tool. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and using it does not create any advisory relationship. We are not financial advisors. The numbers, categories and outputs you see reflect the information you enter. For advice specific to your situation, please consult a qualified professional.
Personal finances depend on many factors that are outside our control, including your own decisions and circumstances. While True North is designed to help you see and organize your money clearly, we make no promises or guarantees about any specific financial outcome, savings, or results from using the Product.
The Product is used within Google Sheets, and payments are handled by a third-party payment processor. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies. True North is not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of any third-party service.
The Product is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that the Product will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will meet every individual requirement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, True North and its owner shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the Product. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Product shall not exceed the amount you actually paid for it.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version. Changes apply to purchases made after they are posted. Your continued use of the Product after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, Canada, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute relating to the Product or these Terms shall be subject to the applicable courts located there.
